On this day in 2023, in the global campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence,” the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosova, Albin Kurti, and the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, took a significant step by launching the first National Program for the Treatment of Perpetrators of Violence Against Women. Rooted in a commitment to addressing the consequences of violence and preventing its recurrence, the program signals a comprehensive approach that recognizes the importance of rehabilitation while not diminishing the significance of penalties for perpetrators.
